This is one of two places where I went. It was really cold, there was a wind chill factor. My husband would not get out of the van, a walk of .5 mile to see some red wolves had frozen him into a grouch.

Getting out of my car, with my 75-300 crummy lens on, the first view of high trees, then this view, it influenced me. I have decided to get the money together and buy the 100-400 IS Canon f4.5-5.6L or nothing. Nothing else makes any sense. If it is too heavy, I will sell it after treating it and box, etc. like a baby.

This next one has blue stuff around the hawk, that is the lens, isn't it? Is that what you are talking about, Lynn?

Below is what may be my favorite, between it and the top one, I love this area anyway. But this is the color of winter in the marsh grass, I love the patterns it makes in the wind with the length of the grass. g

This is a strange feeling, I have looked at the dates several times........... I remember this trip, such as it was, vividly, but it was a very long time ago.

and not that spectacular????

Thanks for commenting, Andy. I suppose it is never too late to hope for a response. (Gee, maybe I will hear from KPOTD someday......and it would have to be late, I havent sent them anything in an age and a day)

Also, I don't remember any blue things around birds, or other objects, lately. Except some badly overexposed skys.
