A goodly number of egrets have started to hang out in the Wetlands lately.

Harry nice work feather detail very nice I have a ? first pic under wing on the body is that real clear to you or is it blured a little [cking on my monitor ] very hard to shoot white feathers and get good detail yours are great Jeff

i think the first is a bit cool? or is it my new monitor that perhaps i haven't calibrated yet....
harry: 20" of snow expected at my spread by this time tomorrow. we're hunkered down. fire going, loads of firewood. plenty of chow. went and bought some bbq ribs this morning, will have a nice feast during the storm :lol3

I don't think that's blur or you would see it on other parts of the egret, especially the wings that were moving. The feathers under the wing are less defined and more matted giving it a blurred look.

Beautiful Harry! Snowy egrets are so pretty to capture...you did it so well! I plan on going up to the WL early in the am tomorrow...did you spot the eagles nest yet?

All my shots are cool man, oh you mean the wb. In that case I don't think so. There's just more water in the first shot. The color of the water in both shots is about the same.
20" of snow :yikes I will be watching the news from my hot tub tonight and feeling bad for all of you up north.

The problem withh swamps is that you have grass in all the wrong places.

Beautiful Harry! Snowy egrets are so pretty to capture...you did it so well! I plan on going up to the WL early in the am tomorrow...did you spot the eagles nest yet?Thanks. Have fun in the wetlands. The place is overrun by great egrets right now and a limpkin is hanging around also. I saw the nest but no one was home. Probably because he was flying around and scaring all the other birds.

That first one is pretty nice Harry!
I think your exposures have gotten better over the last few
rounds. The detail in these is spectacular!

Hey Ian,
Thanks for the kind words. Ever since I took the Reznick Workshop I have been concentrating on exposure. I've been using the camera's histogram much more and making the necessary adjustments as I shoot.
