What am I doing wrong? Making my banner clickable back to my homepage ... [Sitemap]

Hi there,

I followed the tuition with some copy and paste html so I could have my banner link back to my homepage. This is what I have in my header section:

<div id="my_header"><a href="http://brischetto-images.smugmug.com"><img src="/img/spacer.gif" width="600" height="172" border="0" /></a></div>

When I check it out, the actual header is not clickable, but the big wide-open space underneath it is. AHH! :scratch

Can anyone help me to fix this?

I'm treading on the extreme edge of my CSS and HTML knowledge here, but when I looked at your CSS, you have references to "#my_banner", yet in your header section, you state you're using "#my_header". I may be wrong here, but I thought that those two references had to be the same. Try changing your header section HTML to read "#my_banner" so it matches your CSS.

Ohhhh thanks Samir - I would never have picked that up. I'm going to give that a go right now, and see if it works.

Hey Samir,

Well I gave it a go and what you said made perfect sense, it worked. However, I ended up with 2 banners, so there must be a bug in there somewhere. I think I'll go look for it ... :huh

Thanks for your help! :winkDid you fix it? I tried your site again but I don't think the banner links back to your home page. If you can't get it to work, post again and I'm sure one of the other dgrinners can get it to work.
