I was getting ready for a boat safety class that I teach, when the boredom monster got me. Thought I'd change my latest Vette Wallpaper.

After 15 minutes -

This was a bmp file to start with. I made the changes in PS so it became a psd file. I then saved it as a jpeg. During the conversion to jpeg, the background became much darker, and portions of the car also turned black.

Interesting.

Like I said, I was bored!

I've been goofing around with that vette...how did you select just the car and not the background? I've been having a helluva time with all the different shades.

I used the Extract tool (under the Filter menu) to get most of the way. I then went back and touched up things by hand.

It looks to me like this Photoshop disease is spreading.

I'm not sure about that...photoshop CS costs more than my 70-200/4L zoom lens. PE2 works just fine for everything I need to do so far.
