Hey Chief - where is the museum with these limo's? I love presidential limo's - they are absolutely fascinating custom cars!

Great subject for GW's Birthday. Is Ike's car a Thunderbird? That looks more like his sports car than a limo...

I think that is a Chrysler. 1955 or 56 maybe??
Anyone know for sure? I think it is a Chrysler Imperial convertible - one of only two ever made

It's a version of the Chrysler Imperial convertible called the Parade Phaeton - three made (but possibly a 4th, some claim), one for New York City, one for Los Angles, and a Presidential Limo.
Stuff of very little value that I happen to know about . . . . :dunno

Vehicles were at the Peterson Auto Museum in L.A. about a year ago.

Most of this stuff - oval office, cars, even Air Force One - are now located in the Regan Presidential Library (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=reagan+library&sll=34.269444,-118.780556&sspn=0.100579,0.2108&ie=UTF8&z=16&ll=34.259203,-118.819885&spn=0.012574,0.019312&t=h&om=1), located just a couple miles off Hwy 23 here in Simi Valley, CA.

I have a picture from the clinton library in Little Rock Arkansas, and his limo is there. I swear, those windows are at least 4 inches thick....INCREDIBLE.

Taft's car doesn't seem large enough to have supported him :)
There's a hotel in Riverside that has a chair made specifically for him-- both me and my wife could sit in the chair side by side perfectly comfortably. He was a big dude.
