My sister rescued him from the local spca yesterday, beautiful boy with a heart of gold, a stray picked up about a month ago, during some bitter cold temperatures, breaks my heart that he was thrown out :cry he's lucky though, he'll have a better life he could have ever dreamed of! She's sitting by my feet as I type this - she's rarely outside of ten feet from me when I am home.

Ohhhhhhh look and they say adopted children often look like their adoptive families :rofl how cute is he :lust look at those big choppers and the drool, I'm so glad he has a nice new family to live with that actually want him and care for him, great story and nice shots Uncle :D ..... Skippy

Hey Sheps mom, I did find it extremly hard when inside to photograph a black face, but now with the speedlight I have no problems! But usually getting any features to standout on an all black face is difficult!

Zanotti, I know how you feel, I have a golden and she's got her head under my chair, waiting for me to go to bed!!!

What do you guys think of the last one, it's dark
I wondered what you thought of the technique and it' s look

I copied a layer, did a gaussian blurr, then erased out the catchlight in his eyes at 100% at a lower opacity(20%) i erased the blurr off other face highlights and the outline of the dog. Flattened, then copied a layer and used the "dark Strokes" choice from the filter gallery. then played with that layer opacity and flattened them again...it looks mildly like a painting...and I kind of like the effect, however I wonder if it just looks like an oversaturated and too dark print!:rolleyes What do you folks think!

I thought it did come out dark. How about getting rid of blur, and use curves to lighten it up a bit. Have you tried that yet?:scratch
