I found the black and Turkey variety but the black ones were the only ones willing to pose a bit. It was very windy and I swear that these birds were just out having fun coasting on the thermals.

Thanks Harry. They are raptors albeit the black sheep of the raptor family. At least I think they are considered raptors. :huh Anyhow, they have their own charm I suppose. They were downright playful that day soaring high and low sort of playing tag with each other. The vultures are quite graceful.

Nope, I'm over here in Texas. And you're right. I just need to keep shooting. Thanks for looking.

It is so hard to get the exposure correct with these guys. At least it is hard for me. :scratch Their faces always seem blown out.

Nice job on the black vulture. I've only seen one in the wild, and very far away. All I ever see are turkey vultures. And yes you're right, TVs are hard to expose.

Thanks Joel. At least I am not the only one who thinks TVs are hard to expose. :D

We don't get to see these very often. Looks like the vulture wanted to make a phone call LOL. Those TVs would be hard to expose properly...mix sun in the shot and is even more difficult. The last one looks like a buzzard head on an eagle body. Good shooting.
