Avoca is located on NSW Central Coast. Avoca Beach is a lengthy, pleasant and popular beach enclosed at either end by scenic rocky headlands.
It is without a doubt a major surfing beach. If you intend to surf at the northern end make sure you have the right skills as it is considered to be for the more experienced. Avoca has a well known surf lifesaving club (http://www.digital-photo.com.au/2007/02/12/lifesaver/).
The beach and the rocky headlands are ideal for fishing and their length make it good for beach walking and exercise.
Explore my Avoca Beach (http://www.digital-photo.com.au/v/Landscapes/Avoca/) landscape photographic gallery, which contains many more spectacular views.

This was my first visit there in over 5 years and yet I can get there under an hour. There are some rocky formation there I'd like to photograph but they are inaccessible.
