Sixty solar revolutions and frigid temps here in NYC found me and gear inside, warm and cozy at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. 'Shooting' the masterpieces is a unique challenge and perhaps better left to the Museum Store postcards. But capturing people interacting with the art proved more compelling and fascinating.

The MET has a very user-friendly tripod policy (unlike my beloved Museum of Natural History where they are strictly equipment non grata). Of course flash is not allowed which adds to the challenge.

What are some of your favorite public indoor photo venues?

Caught the gent deeply absorbed in his sketching. Used Nikkor 70-300 VR.

I love to take photos to people in the museums, it's very intresting how the people appreciate art. Here are two of this kind of pictures I like the most.

Museo Bellas Artes. Mexico City.

:thumb The kids kissing is wonderful. Who's the artist? Appears to have a violent theme in stark contarst to the young lovers. I attached a shot of some NYC students sprawled out below the masterpieces.
