I took this photograph just messing around, you know how us very green amatures are... doing all kinds of things to try to learn neat things with our new camera in hopes of someday having a BIG camera and a selection of lenses...... I was pleased with it as I love my eyes..lol.. Please on any of my photo's that I submit to dgrin I would love to have feedback on them, both positive and negative..how else can I learn or improve........

I love the tight crop Sandra (welcome to Dgrin by the way)
It looks awfully bright on my monitor. Detail seems lost and it's not easy to look at.
This seems like a calibration problem to me more than a problem with your shot and I sure would like to be able to see it the way you do.
There was a link around here somewhere to some monitor calibration pages, but I cant find it. I will keep looking for it but if someone else finds it first that would be great.
PS the red text is kind of hard to read...

Sandra,
Maybe you were going for a blow-out look? That's cool. If so, you could play with levels/curves to give the eyes and hair, but especially the eyes more "pop". You could boost the saturation and contrast on the eyes as well as selectively sharpen them to make them pop out more.

Sandra, sorry I am so late replying to this. I really liked the image, and I played with it a bit to make your eyes stand out more. I just forgot to post it!
