Hello,
I have two questions regarding Google Maps integration.
On my SmugMug Map page, there is the timeline. How does it come up with the order for the timeline? It doesn't seem based on the time of the photos. Is it based on the time that I added the geo info? I'm hoping to re-order these better.
Also, has anyone feature requested that the geo info for each photo also include an optional field for the zoom level? My photos often are zoomed too close, so that it shows ("no imagery at this zoom level") everywhere in the map.
For example, clicking image #1 in my timeline.

Thanks,
Ben

Thanks,
BenThe timeline follows the exif in your photo. We'd love to set zoom level, but we can't at the moment, sorry!

Thanks for the quick response Andy. I found that the timeline is ordered based on the photos (and gallery) whose geography was updated most recently. Here's what I did to figure this out:
1. Went to photo #5 (bee photo) in my timeline, which was in a different gallery than photos #1 through #4.
2. Edited the geography (entered in an altitude).
3. Went back to the Google Map. Bee photo is now #1, followed by any other photos with geo info in the same gallery as bee photo, followed by photos that were previously #1 through #4 (all in same gallery).
This makes it tough to re-order photos, as photos in the same gallery often weren't taken at the same time, so the timeline goes all over the place.
Is this something Google does, or is SmugMug doing this?
Thanks,
Ben

Hey Andy, I added the zooming issue as a feature request, as the zoom level is a parameter, it's just hard coded to 1 right now.
My feature request post with more info is here:

Hopefully something comes of it...
Also, should I add a bug report about the sorting, as it's not sorting by EXIF date?
Cheers,
Ben
