what it lacks in IQ it makes up for in versatility
maybe the perfect lens for soccer
you get to sit on a stool in the endzone and shoot the whole field

Some very nice shots there! :thumb

I like #2 the best- angle of the offensive players body- the goalies face- and the grass. Very nice!!

Although I am not a soccer fan, these are some great action photos. Nice and clear. I too like the second one the best.

Them are great.
I can't wait for soccer season to start this spring.
It's going to be -10/F in the moring as we head to another Saturday basketball tournament.

I need to buy a new lens for soccer this year.

That looks like a geat one!

thx Pahl....i'm gonna try the new 70-300vr this w/e....
it may be a better alternative for several reasons
size,wt, price,iq, and it will keep me from shooting so many pics since it's only 300
