I don't take many cool shots :scratch. I was going through some albums I have online and found this one though...
My first attempt at "long exposure", fourth of July 2006.

1.6 sec, F16 @ 38mm. Flash and handheld.
Here is my first shot of fireworks, I didn't know they were going to happen. I was at a Big & Rich concert, right up near the stage and POOF!....er BANG?!

The first shot looks alive doesnt it, and the second looks like the colours and working of deep out space ... a very cool shot :thumb ... Skippy

Yeah, I seriously thought #2 was a nebula or something from a telescope setup. Neat stuff... :clap :clap

Really nice! I love the subtle fill flash with the sparkler, and I really did think the second shot was through a telescope. :D

That does look like a Hubble shot there. The first is cool too, I love those kind of shots. But the person looks a bit strange in this one.

Thanks Skippy, Hyson, Schmoo, Awais, Seneca, and BCooper. :)
I actually like this one better, except that it's slightly out of focus.

BCooper, I know what you mean. Part of is that I hand held the shot and either I moved the camera or Mr. Allen (my friend's dad) moved so his face is kinda......melted. Also, since this was the first time I'd tried this I didn't make sure there was nothing behind him. So, in post I dumped some black paint behind him and I didn't realize that is kinda chopped his face a bit, on his right side.
Here are some uneditted shots form the same night. :)
