View Full Version : Bug: Smugmug style gallery: no images show up at all

Go to this page:

http://www.streetsofboston.com/gallery/994065#

(note, the '#' is crucial here).

No images are shown.

Remove the '#':
http://www.streetsofboston.com/gallery/994065

and all looks fine.

This is a problem, because sometimes the server rewrites the URL as http://www.streetsofboston.com/gallery/994065#. Then, when the user hits the refresh-button, no images show up.

I reproduced this on both IE6.0 and FireFox1.5

Devbobo or JT will help - you have more custom javascript than I can deal with :D

I'm sure it's fixable.

Edit: don't think that we rewrite urls like you are suggesting - I'm guessing a conflict with something in your custom JS.

Stay tuned, it'll get sorted.

Good detective work, I had noticed occasionally empty galleries when navigating around my site. Refresh didn't help. Back and then clicking back to the gallery did. I didn't pay attention to the URL, I will now. I bet it was the same problem you've discovered. For me it was Firefox 1.5 on RH Linux Enterprise 4.'

it's fixed internally, we'll get the fix on the live site today we hope. Thanks Anton!
