Hello, Johno here. The new guy. I thought I would share this photo I took of my son last summer at the zoo. I don't know if this should go in the people candids or the animal, wildlife area. I guess it doesn't matter. This is not a Photoshop fix. It is the reflection of my son off the glass at the polar bear exhibit. I really enjoy reading and seeing the things on this site... I am trying to learn how to be a better photographer. Any comments welcome. I shot this with the fuji s5000. I had to really reduce it down so i could load it on the site. Any information on how to post pictures would be helpful.

peace.

Welcome aboard and great shot!

It's kinda funny... At first I was trying to get a close up of the bear. I was frustrated at a glare I noticed at the bottom of the picture. Then i realized it was my son... Three shots later the shot of a lifetime. It's funny how we can be in the "zone" to "catch" the "right" shot and almost miss something so wonderful. Thanks W, I will try to stop posting pictures like this... But. no promises. :D

OK... I am trying the linking to the web picture thingy. These two shots came before the one above... So everyone knows it was not as easy as it looks.

What a wonderful shot! I'm glad you posted the early tries. I like to know that other people have the same difficulties that I have. Hard to get those models to stay put. Good thing the bear was sleeping. :D funny how he could sleep with that little kind right under his nose. :rofl
