HTML only page

i am not understanding how to make the html only page.....what i want to do is put a picture (small) above a little bio, here is the bio and the link to the picture,, can anyone HELP, http://blakewallrichphotography.smugmug.com/About%20Me

:wave and welcome. There are two ways to do this, easy and a bit harder.

1) easy: make a new gallery. Force the style to journal. Upload a pic, and use the caption as your text :)

2) html:

this is what i have... how do you get rid of the " THISIS A NEW GALLERIE WITH NO PHOTOS" and also, link the picture to that page, all i can seem to get is a hyperlink??

off the "no photos" statement.
