I've done some searching here as well as on google and I'm not able to find what I'm looking for...

The PhotoVu device is really cool. Does anybody know of some software that I can load onto my computer. Give it my feed address and have a picture show like what the PhotoVu does?

For those that don't know what PhotoVu is... it's a really nice picture frame that you can point a smugmug feed to and I'll show you pictures.

Smugmug has a feed just for people who purchase one of these:

Here's a link to PhotoVu:

Thanks,

John,

How about using our RSS feeds?

Andy,
Thanks for the link. I installed the MSN one from here:
http://screensaver.msn.com/

I put the feed in the setup section but I don't get pictures. I get links that bounce around the screen in a box.

Any suggestions?

Here is the rss feed that I used:

UPDATE--
Ok I downloaded this one:
http://blog.debin.net/Media-feed-screen-saver/

Its working but it appears only to be downloading the thumb nail sized images and then resizing them to the screen. It looks really bad. Is there a way to have the feed only supply large pictures?

Thanks,

Andy

Add &Size=Large or &Size=1000x800 or really any size you wish to add :)

or

MUCH more on our Wiki :thumb

Andy - thank you that worked.

I noticed that when I'm viewing pictures of one of my galleries in FF as a feed there is no right click protection to the images. But when I veiw them as part of the normal smugmug gallery view there is right click protection.

Does this mean that anybody can view a gallery as a feed and then harvest the pictures?

A feed is now off your SmugMug page. So right click protection, won't work - you are using external links to serve up the feed.

A bigger problem is that SM watermarks are not displayed AND Originals are also available, even if they are disabled. This seems like a big security hole at the Smugmug end. Any chance of getting this fixed?

The Media Feed RSS screensaver (http://blog.debin.net/Media-feed-screen-saver/) is pretty slick tho. As is the PhotoVu, which I assume would display the feed in a similar way, but without the illegal copy security issues.

Ahhh - now I see a watermark and even if I specify "Original", I get Large on the screensaver. :thumb

Did someone already fix this or was I imagining things?
