Sorry folks, we were making some modifications to our network that we didn't anticipate downtime on. We decided to go ahead and take an outage (since it was the maintenance window), but then discovered we were a bit early.

I went ahead and updated our start time to 2200 instead of 2300. We'll try to pre-announce in the future.

After the maintenance "Originals" neither can be displayed nor can they be downloaded. :scratch Any news when you'll get it fixed?

Maintenance finished hours ago. We're looking into why these photos aren't showing up. From the gallery indicated above, we don't believe photos were lost. More once we finish investigating.

I'm getting a lot of the same thing. These five galleries (passworded - SM employees can still see, right?) are almost entirely "not there."

FWIW, these five galleries consist of photos uploaded chronologically around the same time - Oct 2006. Spot checking shows no other holes on my site.

I also noticed that Nimai's gallery was Halloween (a la Oct) and that dave_bass5's missing photos appear to be surrounded by OK photos with exifs of early Oct pictures and Nov pictures.

Problem solved: emptied cache and everything seems to be fine now.

Well, I'm glad I wasn't completely jumping the gun again-
BUT I WAS ABOUT TO!

I just opened my page and still saw PHOTO NOT FOUND.







then I hit ctrl+F5 and forced a page refresh. :thumb

hmm, cache shouldn't have done it, but regardless we think we solved it for now. sorry about that.

Oh boy.... all kinds of wierd stuff still going on.

From uploads I did just after the maintenance last night, I have images that won't show originals, but only if they were 2nd copies.

I have transfers that would not show in the destination gallery until I tried to transfer a new copy just a few minutes ago.

Also, I have images that won't show Medium but other sizes are OK and these were uploaded weeks ago.

Do you have specific images that aren't showing up after you do a shift-refresh? The ones I tried in that gallery (originals) loaded fine. Please contact help@smugmug.com with specifics and have them work with you on getting us more detail, we're happy to help!

CTRL-F5 fixed it. Didn't know about that trick. Always used plain old F5.
