Doves have nice colors. They are slow clumsy and dumb, hawks love them.

We have them EVERYWHERE here in NW Ohio. but this is my only shot of one.

I love their pink feet and powder blue eyeliner :)


Interesting fact about the slow, clumsy dove...when they are grabbed from behind by a cat or similar predator, their tail feathers come out very easily, allowing them to fly away safely. I've seen that happen a couple of times in the yard. Yeah, they are kinda dumb, tho. They walk like ducks :rofl
