I have images currently saved in a variety of formats, RAW, PS, Tiff and jpeg, both the file sizes and dimensions are in some cases very large and some of the images have profiles embedded. I want to preserve the images as they currently are and upload copies to smugmug.

My questions is what is the best way to go about this consistently?
1. duplicate image
2. resize - ?? at what dimension and resolution??
3. "save as" without embedding any profile ??
3a. When saving as jpeg always save as high quality ??

Advice would be appreciated

Thanks
Caroline

Hi, save to JPG, I recommend JPG 10 (that's Lab Quality). sRGB Profile. Leave the files in their original size, don't resize them, or downsize them, unless you have quantity and upload time issues. If you do, say so, and we'll further recommend something.

Use "Save As" yes. Do NOT worry about dpi.

Thanks Andy,
Excruciatingly slow upload from my end at times.
