I got You Tube working on my site, but...
Is there any way to set up a video clip that is larger than the You Tube method... and still decent quality?

Absolutely. Sign up with dreamhost (http://www.dreamhost.com/r.cgi?113867) (That is my referral link to dreamhost by the way but choose whatever other hosting provider you want) and host it yourself. :thumb There's only so much quality you're going to get from a free service like youtube. Just saying.

Also try teh g00gle first then ask in here eh? Maybe try an approach like, "I researched on google and found a interesting way to share videos that are better quality than youtube. It's at www.bigqualityvidsofmine.com. Does anyone know of any others?"

Just saying, don't make us feel like your search lackies 'k?

I wasn't asking for anyone to search for me... I did some searching and it confused me... I think I even read about Dreamhost. But since I had no idea what they where refering to I thought I might ask some folks that knew something about it. Sorry.
As for reading up on You Tube, that did no good either....
Again, folks have asked about this here before, but a search left me blank... point me in the direction of some other threads or don't at this point I really don't care... Sorry for wasting your time...

Have you tried changing the width / height parms in the html code that youtube gives?

It's not my bag at all, but that's the only think I can think of.

after searching a bit more, I think the size of the video screen is set as it is my You Tube based on the quality of the video that is being "played." Other sources such as google give the same size screen it seems. I think that's not going to change any time soom, atleast w/ a free host service. Since this is not a big priority for me I don't wish to pay for hosting at this time. So I think I'm stuck...
Andy, you may not know this but maybe you could pass this to someone who might...
Why do your You Tube screens start out black and mine look like this...

I'd really prefer the black or an image of my choice... possible????

Try making the video start with a black screen. Maybe try fading in from black. Both of which are trivial to do in even the most basic video editors. You can probably even do it in-camera.

3 of the 6 start on a black screen... the image shown on the start screen is from someplace in the video, but not at the start....
I think I'll make a post and direct it at those who run You tube video... maybe they will know... bad idea?
