I don't ever plan on having very many thumbnails on the homepage. I'll probably never use more than 6 categories. I see how I can make the box that the thumbnails reside in bigger, but not the image itself.

I want the images you see here: http://paulsclicks.smugmug.com/ to be bigger.

Easy fix?

Just a morning bump to see if the daytime crowd has an answer.

You can't make them bigger, sorry. They are what they are. 5 galleries or less in a category, and the thumbs are 150px. 6 or more, and they are 100px.

Not the answer I wanted - but thanks for the answer nonetheless!

I presume this goes for the homepage as well. It would be nice to have them about 50% larger on the homepage. I am using categories there. Can this be an enhancement request?

Thanks.

WOW, there are hacks to do just about anything on smug mug, but nothing to make the thumbs larger. I would love to see this in the future.

Well, there is a hack to make the thumbs larger - but you need to not use the standard smug screens to make that happen. I use html-only pages to replace all of the smugmug galleries screens - the top level one that most folks reference with \galleries, and all of the category and subcategory screens.

I started using an html-only screen instead of the standard \galleries screen. That wasn't too much upkeep since I show my galleries by category and I keep my featured galleries on my Kaleidoscope page (another html-only screen).

Ulltimately I wanted larger thumbs for all of my category and subcategory pages, so I changed those to hmtl-only pages too. Warning - it's a lot of work to keep this up if you have any level of activity in your galleries. I decided that I didn't mind the maintenance to get the look that I wanted.

If you decide to give something like this a try I'd recommend starting only with your top-level galleries page. Think long and hard before taking it to the next level...

You can easily see what I did by checking out my site with web dev. Holler if you have questions.

I guess you would call this a hack, right?
