I'm I supposed to post the pic here as well as in the challenge thread
for comments? I'm guessing so. So here's my entry.

You post here if you want comments or critique. Then into the entry thread when you're ready.
Very nice shot. Good example of "first person". and Welcome to the forum!

Hi Davey, nice shot. You don't have to post your piccie for comments. You can simply enter it in the Challenge, if you want. Some folks do that. Many others like to start their own comments thread in order to get feedback. But it's absolutely your choice.

Thanks for the info Sid.
It's always good to hear what others think, good or bad. It's the only way
to get better at something.

Hi Dave,
Great shot, it is a little dark though. Love the idea!
Thanks Judy. When I watch TV in that room most of the time the only
light comes from the TV. It's kind of like my home theater.:D

dave.Hi Dave, good idea indeed.. if I had one small niggle it would be I personally would like to see more focus (light?) on the remote and foot rather than the tv.. good choice tho:D

Sorry, I'm a little late here. I like your idea. I think it needs a little oomph though. How about trying a tiny bit of unsharp mask and a little curves. Raise the curve a good bit in the middle and dip it down a tiny bit on the darks. You could add a tiny spot of light with lighting effects if you like. Very easy. Don't blow the reflections. Hope you don't mind if I play with it a bit. Just an idea. See if you like it or not.

I took your idea, then went a step further, but I'd need to change the name
to something like over the rainbow, or Wonderful world of color, or something
that has to do with TV shows.

Or maybe Though the looking glass.

That looks much better. Now, one more nit pick. Hope you don't mind. How about using the distort feature and lifting the right top corner to level off that TV screen. I find the downsloping corner a bit distracting. The b&w treatment really does add emphasis to the focal point of the picture. About the title, I like your original title. It helps make that remote the main feature. Nice job.:thumb

Thanks for the help.
One more thing, when I change to this photo, do I delete the old post,
or just replace the photo with this one and keep my spot in the challenge thread.

Nice changes.
You click on edit, and you then put this one in and take the old one out. Yes you do keep the same spot.

She loves post work, and I don't know if I would call it difficult, annoyingly helpful might be a good term.. Just kidding snappy!:lust

That's real nice Dave. I love straight lines. I'm kind of "detail oriented" to put it nicely. :wink

I think this last one is much better than the first image. The remote is much sharper and better highighted. Nice jog. The frame might be just a little over the top though

We have to thank snappy for the ideas to make it better.
The frames look better on my computer cause I'm using a black background.
( when I'm making the pic and frames )
The colors may not blend well with what is here on D grin.
Thanks for looking.

And Snappy is right like she usually is - It looks better with the tv image straightened. :thumb
