Here's my attempt at shooting a reflective subject. It's a stainless steel coffee cup and saucer on a reflective surface.

Very nice. Simple, well lit.

Can you tell us how you did light the subject?

Thanks!
Ian

Thanks Ian and Humungus.

Here's the EXIF
Aperture: f/8.0
ISO: 64
Focal Length: 42.2mm
Exposure Time: 0.01s (10/1000)
JPEG Quality: 8
Flash: 15
Exposure Program: Manual
Exposure Bias: 0

I shot this in a darkened room with a single camera mounted flash bounced off the ceiling. The hardest part was finding the sources of unwanted reflections. I had to drape black garbage bags around to get rid of unwanted reflections.

That's excellent. To my eye a great exposure, nice idea. Looks very tight and professional.
