I'll post up my impressions on the AB800 in the acessories thread, but here there are some tests I did this afternoon minutes after unpacking my AB800 and a brolly box.

Nice light. Certainly not a "studio look" but I like this one: http://padu.smugmug.com/photos/119166292-M.jpg

Very nice start!! :thumb Now all you have to do is get a reflector to fill in some of those shadows!

I think I just have to play a bit more (with a somewhat more "static" subject). I was actually filling the shadows with a minolta AF 4000 flash mounted on an umbrella. I also got a minolta IV flash meter, and I'm in my way to learn how to calculate ratios.
The umbrella mounted flash is what I am using to trigger the AB800

Nice light. Certainly not a "studio look" but I like this one:
How a studio look would be? Is it the one with almost no shadows (big softbox)?

Actually, I wasn't refering to the lighting but more the casual look of the pose. It looked more fun than a "posed" studio type of pose. Lighting looked decent enough. I like the shots! :thumb
