I read an interesting article (http://www.nytimes.com/2006/12/20/technology/20checkout.html?ref=business)in the NYTimes Business section today. Google checkout seems like a pretty sweet deal for both merchants and customers right now. Merchants get free payment processing. Customers get a $10 discount off $30 purchases and $20 off $50 purchases.

I'm sure the SM people have noticed this, but, being a chief troublemaker, I thought I'd surface it.
