Fireworks?

I've decided on Lightroom (for the time being) over Aperture for managing my workflow. I own Macromedia Studio (I'm a web designer), so I've been using the modest editing tools in Fireworks to eliminate red eye, dodge, burn (hopefully these will be in the final release of Lightroom), and for some other editing.

I have too many other goodies to buy and don't want to invest in Photoshop at this point, but would be willing to spring for Elements (once Adobe finally releases v5 for Mac). Would Elements offer me any significant benefits over Fireworks?
