I dabbled in portraiture a few years back and have been thinking about adding this as a service since people do call upon me on occasion. Here is the last portrait I tried to pull off. Please give me your honest critique. Whip me but be gentle.

Well I like it. The face is sharp, your exposure is good and for the most part I like your comp. You could have gone a little more to your right so there was more window and less wall on the left but not a big deal. Her legs and arms lead to her face and then her eyes lead you to the window. What is she looking at? Is she just lost in thought, maybe longing for someone to return. The small bit of window is good, it makes you wonder what, if anything she is looking at. The low cut dress and placement of her arms gives the impression of implied nudity and also shows off her great tatoos. Im not the best at critique but I think this is a nice shot and woudn't change anything accept maybe the crop as I noted above. The image has good light, good exposure, and a beautiful girl which never hurts. :thumb

Pretty girl.
Seems like her face is a little soft to me.
Interested in what the EXIF was on this shot.
Try taping a white peice of regular copy paper onto the wall where the camera won't see (bottom edge a little bit lower than her shoulder). this will help the natural lighting diffuse some of those dark shadows.
I agree w/ glu about the whole shift the shot to the right thing as well.
Nice pose though!
