No wukkers...remember though, this is my early findings but hey its not like you are dropping the crown jewels on it though.
Well, keep us informed. The seller's Web page does mention problems with the 430 and 580 Speedlites. I suppose for that price, one could put up with some inconvenience, but I would be interested to know just what the problems are and what can (must?) be done to avoid them.

Is the wireless flash trigger related to the Adidt wired remote for cameras?

Not sure what you mean mate. The one above is a remote cordless flash trigger & the Adidt (which i also have) is a 3 foot cord with a remote shutter trigger on the end.

I meant if the company was the same one that produced the wired shutter remote.

I've had about six of those type of wireless wireless transmitters and they always break on me, but the two that I have right now have lasted the longest, just dont ever drop them, they will break into like 30 pieces. Just a heads up.

Not sure im with you mate....

:scratch That very product is what the entire thread is about.

He is re-purposing the trigger to do something different.. The hack is about using the wireless flash trigger to fire a camera, and not a flash.

Does this thing use Infrared or RF? I don't know if any units are made with RF, but the problem with IR is line-of-site only.

Hey Gus Mine arrived in the mail today. Did just lik you put the battery in hooked it up, nothing. Is the light on the front of the transmitter suppose to light up? Mine does not so I guess I'll pick up a battery tomorrow and see what happens......

I've been using mine flawlessly with a Nikon D50 and SB600 for about 6 months now. I have even used the PC port to fire an Alienbee B400, but I sometimes get extra flashes with the B400 if the reciever is too close to the electronics of the monolight. I got mine from the eBay seller Gadget Infinity. I think I'm also going to pick up the Studio light version since no batteries are needed in the reciever. They are $20 + 10 shipping look to be the exact model that Alienbees is selling for $80.

Ive not seen a light :scratch People do say the original batterys are dodgy though.

I don't think its a light. Mine has never lit even with fresh batteries.

Yea, actually it looks like it glows. Threw in a fresh cr2 battery today and the thing worked. The only problem I seem to be having is that it won't stop working. My 430 ex will flash then recharge red light on and if I don't snap a picture within 7 to 10 seconds it fires automatically. I have tried all the settings with the same results.

Any suggestions???????

OK, so I finally figured it out. I ended up setting the flsh toslave and adjusting the channels. Strange but it worked. So if you end up having the same problem, give it a whirl. :clap

Tomorrow you will have to do the opposite to get it to work...they are a funny device but i love mine. its just so so temperamental !


You were so right. I had to replace the batteries in my 430 so I figured I would do a little playing around with lighting tonight. I'm right back to square 1. I can't get the damn thing to work right. It just keeps flashing. I just went through a set of batteries and I'm on my second. I have tried all the combinations and settings, Anyone want to try and shed some light on this before this little thing meets it's maker!

How can I get it to work?????????????????
