View Full Version : Saving shots with Photomatix/HDR

This first shot I posted in the Whipping Post quite awhile ago but was dark, sky blown and just didn't have it. Thanks to Photomatix, I created different exposures of the JPeg file (as this wasn't shot in RAW), saved them to different file names and then used Photomatix for blending. I'm impressed at what can be accomplished with that program.

This next one was shot using available light only and was dark. I created a few different exposures/enhancements then again used Photomatix. The windows/highlights were blown and couldn't get the stained glass colors. Here's the result:

I'm liking both shots alot. I've played with HDR from RAW... but never from JPG. Very impressive results!

I had a read about HDR yesterday looks interesting.
