All these photos rise a question (for me anyway):
How to photograph the rain ?
How to transmit the feeling of rain, bad weather, discomfort ... ?
I don't mean in the sense of what stands in the image but in the image itself ?
Let me explain: I want to show the boats with bed weather, not a boat in trouble because of it ...

These pictures were shot from inside the car, moving back and forward, over and over.
I still got my 70-200 wet. Just a bit. No big deal. The car was wet inside in spite of the wind ... or because of it :)

Try to set slow shutter speeds (TV mode) and focus on a subject using a wide enough aperature/focal length to capture rain falling. This will take some experimenting due to amount of rainfall, lighting conditions, and if the subject matter/colors can help capture the feel. We haven't had any rain for months here (very strange for Minnesota) and am going to experiment more myself.

Hi Swartzy, grand father !

I have posted the exact same question in 4 forums.

The best anwser so far, is this one: http://www.openphotographyforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1662

I invite you to go and read it.

Quite instructive.

All the best. :)

This is another nice series Antonio, I can't say I have ever tried to go shooting in the rain, I am pretty sure none of my gear is water proof.

I like the third shot with some of the boats pulled up on the ramp in the forground....... great colours too Antonio :thumb .. Skippy (Australia)

:scratch Look like Shrimp boats.

I know they catch fish... may be shrimps also, but I don't think so.
There are a few in these waters as far as I know...
