I am slowly but surely getting my site set up. I see so many really NICE ones when I click on all the links in the different threads, I'm JEALOUS!! :-)
I am trying to bookmark all of these sites so I can go back and look at them later!!!
1. on the 'breadcrumb' that goes across the gallery pages--- nickname>sports>soccer
is there anyway to just get rid of the nickname? and leave the rest of it?
I asked this in my previous thread and was given the code to get rid of it (the whole thing disappears), but I would like to keep the category/gallery part.
2. I made up a sharegroup and put all of my private galleries in there....is there a way to password protect that whole page (i've put it on my navbar so if friends/family lose the link they can at least find it again) , or do I have to password protect each gallery (which I have done)...
3. How do I get rid of the sharegroup link that now shows up on the homepage?
4. I did see on someone's site (I clicked on a link in a thread) where they had many drop down choices from the navbar. On one them which I clicked on it took me to a password protected page......how could I implement that? --- of course I didn't think to bookmark that......duh

:wave Hi, can't be done. Sorry.

No, you can password the galleries though, all with the same password.

please remember to log out and view your site. Visitors won't see that unless they've been on the site.

Create a public password protected galley under your family category. This
will be the family landing page. Use that for the navbar link and it will open
to the input password page.
Make all your family galleries public and with same password. Now the
problem is to display the family category on the new landing page and
also not show on home page. There's a hack in a recent thread turning
it off on the home page.
I did that for my three family categories. Each has a separate landing
gallery with a slideshow and each a different password. Then I created
a new family navbar linking to all the family galleries. Nothing is seen
without entering thru the password page. Works great.
See navbar link here (http://atsmith.smugmug.com/).
It wasn't that difficult and I can walk you through it if you'd like.
Let me know.
