Actually two. These are the most misunderstood of all animals. I have had a fascination with herpetology since childhood. I just recently started snapping pictures.

Timber rattlesnake from Northern Illinois.

Smooth green snake taking it's first breath. (captive, from eggs I rescued - eggs are about the size of jelly beans)

Thanx for looking.

Thanx to you all for the kind words.

I spend almost all of my free time searching for and photographing reptiles and amphibians in Illinois. I frequent all sorts of interesting places on my journeys, and see all sorts of wildlife and some breathtaking scenery. I hope that in time I can add a little imagination to my shots.......and maybe learn how to take scenery shots.:D

Welcome to Dgrin Matt!

They both very nice but I like the first the most. The second could use some more contrast (PS = Black eye-dropper)

Thanks for sharing.

Dick.
