I could have been in the same street as the last photograph...
Nice shots, they definitely remember me of how I saw Vienna too...
In fact I was a bit surprised to find that much color, as I always thought of Vienna in sepio due to war stories and movies...

In fact I was a bit surprised to find that much color, as I always thought of Vienna in sepio due to war stories and movies...

Yes, they introduced colour only recently here. Before that day, everything was in black and white. It was very hard for photographers, because all pictures had to be hand-colored in postprocessing. We weren't used to colour at all, so it took some time and the results weren't always very natural. Pictures of this time are often refered to as 'Velvia'.

Still, I think all this colour is a bit overdone. Sometimes I think back to the old B/W days longingly. Selecting the right clothes also was so much more easy.
