Nice catch Izac. That is a massive aircraft alright.

Have you seen the footage of it landing in a huge cross wind ? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdOReYz60Wk)

Hi Izak, man that is a massive big plane isn't it, I've seen it only on TV but gosh everything else near it looks like a toy on the TV .... it's so big.

You got yourself a great shot of it thats for sure :thumb Skippy (Australia)

A damn shame this plane is having so many technical issues in its production. But my question is-- why are none of the airlines receiving their 380's even though there area a handfull of 380's flying now?

As a pilot, I'm hands-down a Boeing guy-- but this 380 is a sight to behold. Very good capture!!! Score!:clap

Thanks for the comments, appreciated, I know that Airbus is having some troubles even with their A330/340 production line. Will have to wait and see what will happen. Will be a real shame if the project gets canned, maybe Virgin will buy them all :rofl

Sweet capture man. That thing is HUGE! must have been nice to see that thing fly up and down a few times. Love the little shack in the corner, gives you a good feel for the size as well.

As a pilot
Out of professional curiosity, what do you do/fly?

From an article (http://www.iol.co.za/index.php?click_id=13&art_id=vn20061127024421612C469324&set_id=) published yesterday:
"In the final stages of operational tests, five A380s - which can seat between 555 and 850 people - have dropped in on more than a dozen countries and almost 40 airports...In two weeks' time the A380 is expected to complete its 'technical route-proving exercise' and receive a sky-worthiness certificate."

That's probably why they aren't delivered yet. It's still in "beta." (I wouldn't want to be the guy who finds a "crashing bug"...)
