Was taking a theory break today while working on my coding project, father came in and gave me some money to rent some DVDs for turkey day (tomorrow)... so of course I couldn't miss the opportunity to go macro. Sorry, no pennies!

Nice shots. So the US dollar has colour now? About time - it will be easier to tell the different bills apart next time I go to the US :rofl

I was actually using a 28mm f/2.8 wide angle lens... reversed :wink Those are 100% resized...

Try taking that 18-55mm lens off and hole it up against the body backwards. Set ot to 55 for starters, then move your way down to 18mm. You should be able to get INSANELY close at 18mm. :thumb

You've picked up some mighty fine detail in those bills, especially in the closer ones you posted in your second set of images.

Incrediably sharp too :clap very nice work indeed, and real nice on the eyes :thumb

....thanks for sharing your really Cool Macro's ...... Skippy (Australia)
