Not fair! This great shot and a reference to blending requires a step-by-step explanation of the process. Will you post the steps, please?
...disappointed with the explanation, since I use Corel PhotoPaint as my editing program.

First, the shots were taken with a Canon 10D and 17-40L lens mounted on a Bogen Carbon One tripod. Canon's wired remote was also used.

I copied an under exposed shot (to the clipboard) and pasted it as a new object over another slightly over exposed shot. Select object properties and set the opacity at 50%. Then combine the object with the background. After some contrast enhancement and usm....complete!

Makes you really want to see it in pieces. so much talent here, and yet I can't figure out masks... grrrrr

I really like this image and the green colors look spot on. Well done!!

The corners seem blurry to my eye - was this done by the artist, or is the lens soft in the corners? The 17-40 is a pretty good lens and I have not noticed that degree of softness in the corners of my images with it, particularly with an APS sized sensor.

The vignette on the corners was added. You know, that artsy fartsy look. All those worthless filters have to be used at least once.:D

I was inclined to give the nod to the artist rather than a defective lens :thumb
