Fog and clouds over the mountains

Well, I got my F828 back from repair, Yay! Only to discover that instead of one fuzzy spot, I still have the original and gained a new darker spot. So back to Fry's it goes this Tuesday. Still having exposure problems, and it's noisier than usual.

But I don't let that stop me from taking photos... I hand held 4 photos for a panorama, stictched three of them together in Photoshop. The fog was billowing over the top of the hills, the clouds were billowy, and the sun would pop out and then get obscured once again.

I did some layers in post processing, but I couldn't really burn in the one bright area in the middle top without making it look too fake. It's fun living on the coast, you just never know what you are going to see.

I was wondering if this was going to be an orphan photo...:D

I guess you had to be there to appreciate the shot -- then too, I should have put it on the tripod and shot it twice, one for the bottom and one for the clouds... the dynamic range was just too great.

The problem with these types of shots at the coast is that the fog and clouds just move so darn fast.
