Thanks. Yes, it's a displacement mapping technique that uses the distort feature in photoshop. There's a great tutorial here (http://jascher.smugmug.com/gallery/2089071).

woke up this morning and thot, damn, wish I would have taken my camera to the polls, we really socked it to the system yesterday (depending on your politics, of course).

But, since I didn't and am too busy to come up with a creative afterthought, I will vote for truth's brilliant depiction instead.

Thank you for the kind words. I'm very pleased with this. I had really struggled to find a way to portray the theme. The election really moved me yesterday. I had really lost hope in Americans and the system.
