I may be able to shoot an ersatz fashion show this weekend.

I'm hoping someone can give me some pointers.

It's a charity event, in someone's home. We're told there will be a catwalk and "professional lighting." The fashion designer is fairly well known in some circles, so this isn't a cheapo event.

My main question is: should I expect to use flash? Any other tips on shooting a catwalk?

I already have one important detail worked out: I'll be sure to get releases from all the models... with their telephone numbers.

I would bring what flash equipment you have, but plan on using the lighting that is setup, assuming it really is professional or at least well setup. Hopefully, the worst case scenario would be the flash would only be for a bit of fill and not main lighting, that would spoil the "look" they are going for.

Thanks, Shay.
