Filtering based on Categories and Subcategories

Seems like this would already be here but I cannot find it.

I need an area where my family can go to see password restricted photos. I set up a category OWC and assigned all of the OWC galleries to that category. All those galleries have password protection.

1. when people go to http://largelylivin.smugmug.com/owc how do I limit what they see to the galleries in the category OWC?

2. because the collection is getting so large I am going to have to split it using subcategories like Collection1, COllection2. I'd like to show them all the galleries but then let them whinny it down by specifying a specific Collection, i.e. subcategory. So, ill have a nav button for each subcategory and ALL. How to?

Make the new subcats, and then assign some galleries to the subcats, and you will see them on the category page :D

Andy, let me illustrate with a simple example.

1. I have a category: OWC
2. I have a sharegroup "waugh viewers" that creates a link to all those galleries (which happen to make up "OWC")
3. When someone enters through my homepage I don't want anything in OWC to be displayed.

I was expecting something like:

css - .homepage .category_OWC {display: none; }

but of course, that didn't work.

Then, after I get that working, I'll be looking to add subcat selectivity to my OWC page. Its probably something very similar.
