I dont think I get the message of your pic. It
says Antithesis which sounds kind of sophisticated,
but what then is the thesis? That interesting green
tone doesn't seem to provide me with a clue of which
this capture is the antithesis of. Maybe a stronger
duotone would work, where the picture would have
this strong surreal look to it?! The sky has some
unused potential there too. Another thing I don't
see well done, is the burred water. It doesn't add
anything extra to the image. It only looks too much
like motion blur and not like a planned effekt.

I really like this capture, there is something calming about it for me.

I like the capture...for me it is a bit disturbing to see a roadway, walkway going out and into the water with that sign at the very end...lik it is the warning which comes to late....

Arthur did a good job describing the feeling that this shot conveys, at least to me.
I like the shot.
I would have bumped the exposure up a bit.
I'm on the fence about the exposure time. I like the DOF w/ the walkway (even though the walkway seems a bit soft to me). Try AF Lock on the center of the walkway, then recompose your shot.
I don't like the motion blur on the water as Manfr3d pointed out.
The shot is a little off center too. I know most will say that that is a good thing. There is something to be said for symmetry in certain shots.
I like the dull sky that helps maintain the feeling of an ominous nature.
Man this picture is making me more indecisive than I've been in a long time.
All in all, good shot. Can't wait to see the re-shoot.

I have a friend who's work and advice in the feild of photography means an awful lot to me.
One thing that he told me was that naming a photograph is very tricky buisness. While it is your work and ultimatly it's "your" interpretation that is "right" - giving it a name boxes the audience into a limited context for the shot. Some people, this will help, others it will, distract, and the last set might just get confused.
Thus, it's most often the best course to leave it unnamed and allow the viewer to appreciate it for themselves. While conveying an idea or mood can be the "point" of a peice of work it's often best to let the shot speak for itself.
Other then my agreement with my firends view on naming shots, the photo itself is very good. I have not taken a shot at this effect, and so not only the composition, but the technical effort impresses me.

Many thanks for the comments much appreciated!
And now the explanation to the naming of the Photo.
I called Antithesis as it is just that in the context of the photos I usually take and present up on my Photoblog. More often than not I try to achieve a natural, vibrant and colourful approach to my images but this one as you can see is the "antithesis" to this, hence the title.
