I have accumulated some eagle shots since August on the Minnesota River that I thought I would post some of my favorites.

These photographs are phenominal. Beautiful color, comp and outstanding clarity. Thank you for sharing these as they are truly an inspiration. If this isn't top shelf photography, I don't know what is. Excellent work!

:wow Those are really gorgeous pictures! Too bad about the crop on #4, but that's still better than I would have done. :):

I love the first and last shots!! The one with the water is awesome, but I wish it had a faster shutter for some stop action on the water, but that being said they're all better than anything I've ever done with a bird! :D :bow

Thank you for posting them!!

Thanks everyone. It sure has been fun to shoot them. More often than not, I don't get much but where they are is close to my home so I can go there often. Here is a closeup of one and one more of my favorites.

Goodness gracious! Those are some excellent shots! I love the one in the first series when the eagle is grabbing a fish or something from the water. Heck, even the shots where the wings are clipped are incredible. Awesome job! :clap

I will add another one I got today (Sunday) which is a little unique from the others I've taken so far. The white specs on his feathers is frost. It was pretty cold out this morning. Obviously, something itches but with those talons, I bet he got it.

Even the majestic eagle has to scratch sometimes.:D

All your shots are wonderful. I see bald eagles here all the time, but have yet to capture anything close to yours. Great job.

Wonderful series Craig. Still looking for my "secret" eagle spot. :D What focal length lens were these taken with...and how much cropping?

Thanks. He was pretty close to me this morning. I used a 500mm f4. Here is another shot of the eagle about to scratch with no cropping to give you an idea on the cropping on the other one. My spot is about a two mile long part of the river that Davev here on Dgrin and others shoot from regularly. They sure are fun to shoot.
