there's just not that much spectacular about this photo. she's centered in the frame of a square photo. she looks washed out, and nothing is truly in focus. I'd have preferred a closer crop and at least most of her in focus. try, off-center, tilted head, looking down, or pointing nose down and looking up at you or something like that. you can take these "look into the camera" shots, but try a TON of other poses too.

My advice? Crop it a lot closer around her head. SHe gets a little lost in the background. Maybe a B&W version? I like this portrait, but think it needs alittle something to make it stand out. Otherwise, it's just a typical portrait.

Little over-processed (noise, hue, etc) but definitely an improvement in the right direction.
