View Full Version : More help needed on Categories page

Hi. More help needed I'm afraid.
On my categories page, I have followed the advice on the FAQ 'Can I make my galleres 4-across? (http://www.dgrin.com/showpost.php?p=300387&postcount=8)' and made the additions to the CSS stuff (see this thread to see what I did http://www.dgrin.com/showpost.php?p=300387&postcount=8). Now I have a huge empty gap underneath the thumbnails - this gap is only there when I am logged out, not when I am logged in. When I am logged in it looks perfect. How can I get rid of the gap? Its a real waste of screen space.
Thanks
Ken

They are all doing it, but if you can help me fix this one http://kendrake.smugmug.com/Portraits I should be able to sort the others
Thanks!

I'm also trying to find a way to break up that paragraph text into multiple paragraphs, I have another thread going for that but so far without any luck http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=46292

KenI'm guessing here because I don't have access to your code, but I think you have the desription all bunched up. If this is true, then try this...
Start your text with <html> and finish it with </html>
To make paragraph breaks, you can do 1 of a number of things:
<br> will insert a carriage return
Or
you can surround your paragraphs with <p> and </p> tags.

Thanks Scott, but the code I am using seems to be stripping out all html. I type in what you said, hit the update button, and its gone.

I think I had inadvertantly reversed what Andy had done without knowing. Anyway Ivar has now done the CSS change and it works perfectly. I am refering to the gap in the categories box between the thumbnails and the bottom of the box. Thanks Ivar and Andy.
As for the breaking up of the paragraphs, this is still outstanding.

It's because we were both in the customize panel at the same time. But it sure looks great now :) Looks like Ivar fixed it while I was sleeping.
