He's a friend of mine living and shooting in the mountains around Salt Lake City. Most of the subjects in those photos are also friends.

I think you are assuming this guy is in the US.True, but some of those shots have the kind of thing (see saws, log bridges) that are unique to the PNW - some of those trails/obstacles are legendary.

Could be in BC, Nelson area or Whistler as well.
