My nephew was born yesterday

December 23, 2004 my nephew joined us here in the world. His mother is doing well. We are all ecstatic.

I was playing with spot focus and rear curtain flash, both for the first time.

Helps to have such a powerful subject.



This one marks my first contest entry. I used the first shot just because it seems to capture more of the mom as I know her. I think the second one is better technically, focus, lighting etc.

I put it up in hte challenge area as a sep thread asking for some input on improving it.
