New Google Earth 4 beta and Smugmaps timelines?

Now that the new free Google Earth beta adds features (http://www.gearthblog.com/blog/archives/2006/11/new_google_earth_4_b.html) formerly in the paid versions, like path and polygon drawing, does anyone know if it is possible to use path drawing to construct timelines or tours in Smugmaps? I tried it out briefly and the paths seem to provide limited info. Might try some more after my real work day is over.
