Here are my shots from the Morton Arboretum with David_S85. You can see his shots in this thread. Most of the colors were already gone and the leaves are becoming pretty scarce but I think I still got a couple decent shots. Even though we were together in the exact same spots our shots are pretty different. Have a look and let me know what you think. Thanks!

Where are the bird pics? :scratch

Good color on that second shot. I like your interpretation of the vine at Thornhill. I might even take my vine shot down now after seeing yours. How long did it take you to go through the 200 shots of the wheat grass? :D Truth is folks, the wind was blowing good, and stuff just didn't stay still for more than a 1200th of a second out there.

Yes, those are waaay different from mine. Good job, Nick.

Thanks David. I actually have the exact shot you posted of the vine on the building but chose to post this one instead. As for the Red-Headed Woodpecker shots, my focus was off so I trashed them all. It wasn't that windy.

200mm 1/15th Handheld

I should have used my ND's instead of upping the aperture to slow the shutter speed, and I guess I could have used my tripod instead of handholding.

Nice pics. ya made the most of what is still around. Colors were lousy around here this year. I was trying to get out there but could never make it happen. We should do a Chicago Dgrin shoot sometime.
