Harryb

they go along, the ibis stops and grabs another crab. Notice the reaction of the egret

Harryb

Now you are capturing expressive bird body language? LOLOLOL Way to go!

That doesn't work and after the 3rd crab is consumed by the ibis its just too much for the egret

Love it, Harry! Love it!

Pretty soon people will be say to you, "but Harry, these are birds, birds, not people. Don't think of them that way, they are not little people, etc."

They are already saying that to Corgi and Border Collie people, so be prepared.

Also, there are no cleaning women in the swamp, remember you are "people".

Where is that other behavior these feathery reptiles live for?

Great shots, great set, great copy!:clap :clap

Do we have a "bird" emoticon we could use for Harry?

I like the first shot. The foot raised ready for that next step.

Interesting series. I thought it might end like my fighting egrets :D

Of course. Snowy Egrets have very expressive body language. Ibises not so much and I'm not going to talk about the anhingas (very repressed bird). :rofl

Geeze, even with birds, it's always about the food......lol

Very nice series Harry, thanks for sharing them :clap

Do we have a "bird" emoticon we could use for Harry?I still think of them as birds. I know that the only two thing on their minds is eating and mating ,in that order (they do sound a lot like Andy don't they?).

as for a bird emotion for me I think the pelican below is pretty good. We are both just taking it easy (I'm retired you know).http://dgrin.com/images/smilies/lol8.gif

Not only that, exposure and contrast are looking really great... After this (lens, post-processing, shooting technique) upgrade, I can't wait to see more from you!

Thanks so much for sharing!
Take care!

Thanks Steve. Birds just like Andy are very food oriented. If he ever gets down to Florida I think he will really connect with the local wildlife. :rofl

Wood Storks are strange looking birds but fun to shoot. If you want to get a fluffy snowy you want to shoot them n the morn when they are hunting. They spread their wings, fluff up, and get very expressive. They also get very aggressive and will try to chase away other smaller birds from the area they are feeding in.

I tell you, that Reznick workshop was a breakthrough for me. I've seen a definite improvement in my pics since that workshop.

Here's a link to my pbase gallery from the workshop http://www.pbase.com/hpb/reznick_workshop
